RO-WENA FOUNDATION is a volunteer placement organization based in Ghana. We provide safe, affordable and valuable volunteer programmes lasting from 1 to 24 weeks in Ghana. Founded in Ghana for volunteers from all over the world, we work with local communities and their networks to support in-country programs towards our mission – “To help better the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves while providing a culturally enriching experience.”

Teach in Ghana
Children start school in Ghana at the age of 3, and the school we are partnered with takes children up to the age of 12. So you can help to teach and entertain children of different ages.
Care in Ghana
The orphanage is a very flexible placement option as there is a wide range of activities you can choose to do there. Whether you want to help bath and dress the children, play sporting activities with them, give them extra school lessons or help out with daily chores, both the orphanage workers and the children will hugely appreciate your work and you can see the vast difference it makes to them.
Treat in Ghana
Participating in the medical project will give you the opportunity to work in a range of wards settings such as maternity and delivery, accident and emergency, general medical and pediatric wards and theaters You will also have the chance to see how clinics are run
